Getting Started with Microsoft 365
Overview
This document is only for Windows 10 or newer. Not for use with any other operating systems.
Steps
- To sign in to the Microsoft 365 Portal.
- At the Microsoft login screen, enter your Columbia College email address (i.e., yourCCID@columbiacollege.ca).

- You will be re-directed to the CC login screen. Log in using your CC ID and password.

- You will be taken to the Microsoft Portal which will be the centre point for all the Microsoft products assigned to your account. From here you can access Office products online by clicking on the rubrics cube on the top left corner.

Installing Microsoft Office on Personal Devices.
All current CC faculty, staff and students are eligible to install Microsoft 365 for free on up to 5 individual-use devices, such as a Windows 10 or newer computers. If you hold a Columbia College provided laptop you will not need to do this. Please note that the license will be revoked if you are no longer employed with Columbia College.
- Log in to the Microsoft 365 Portal. Please refer to the section above for log in instructions.
- Select Install Office, located at the upper right corner of the page.

- Choose Office 365 apps from the drop-down menu.

- Follow the on-screen directions to complete the installation.
